DescriptionThe whole story▼
The out-lap is where a rider finds out what the mechanics changed. New tyres, fresh pads or a different setup can each alter how a Tuono V4 1100 RR behaves under braking, and the lever setting chosen before is not always right afterwards. For the Tuono V4 1100 RR of 2017 to 2019, Accossato makes the RA001, a folding brake lever paired with a 90-degree remote adjuster. Accossato intended it for racing: the left hand acts on the lever's stroke instead of the right, so the throttle is never released and a trip back to the box becomes unnecessary.
Key Features

- Left-hand adjustment while riding
- Holder: 35 mm or 60 mm

- Blade hinged to a black base
- RST lightening cut-out optional, NRST without
- Colours: black, blue, gold, green, orange, red, silver
- No German ABE documented; sold for racing
Construction and Material Quality
From the saddle of a Tuono V4 1100 RR, the RA001 shows two things: a coloured blade in front of the right grip and an adjuster within reach of the left hand. Behind them sits a black base, which carries the pivot on the master cylinder and joins the blade through a hinge. Base and blade are machined from aluminium on CNC equipment and anodised. The holder for the remote adjuster comes in 35 mm or 60 mm, the blade in seven colours, as RST with a lightening cut-out or as solid NRST.
The Out-Lap After Changes
Changes between sessions are often made in a hurry: tyres swapped, pads replaced, suspension settings moved. The first laps afterwards are for checking, not for pace, and that is exactly when a rider may notice that the lever wants to be somewhere else. On a Tuono V4 1100 RR with the RA001, that correction can be made during the out-lap and the first flying laps. With the throttle steady on a straight, the left hand makes the change at the adjuster, and the next corner confirms or rejects it. It saves a stop in the pit lane and keeps the session for riding. New pads still need bedding in as their maker advises; the adjuster changes the lever setting, not the need for care in those first laps.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the RA001 for the Tuono V4 1100 RR from 2017 to 2019, the 2019 bikes being listed as Euro 4 versions. The LV012 is the same bike's folding brake lever without remote adjuster, listed for the same years; choose one or the other. Accossato does not list a folding clutch lever for the RR.
Road Approval
German ABE: none documented for the RA001. We offer it for racing and track days.
