DescriptionThe whole story▼

Racers call it covering the clutch: two fingers resting on the lever through slow corners and hard braking zones, ready to pull it in if the rear wheel starts to hop on a downshift. It is a habit that suits the Daytona 675, a bike that is often ridden hard into corners. The EST333 from Accossato is a machined aluminium clutch lever for the Triumph Daytona 675 from 2006 to 2017, and its reach adjuster lets you set the blade so that resting fingers find it without effort.

Key Features

  • Clutch lever for the Daytona 675, listed from 2006 to 2017
  • Replaces the stock lever at the original clutch mounting
  • Adjustable reach for two-finger clutch work
  • Short blade in blue, gold, green, orange and silver
  • CNC-machined aluminium, anodised, black hub
  • Fixed lever in one piece

Construction and Material Quality

Cut from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised afterwards, the EST333 has the two-tone finish of the Accossato range: black hub, coloured blade. The hub carries the pivot and the reach adjuster. The blade, anodised in one of seven colours, is solid and fixed, without a folding joint. For a clutch lever that is covered all the time and sometimes pulled in a hurry, this matters, because the take-up point always sits in the same place and the fingers know where it is without looking.

Covering the Clutch

Covering the clutch only works if the resting fingers neither pull the lever by accident nor have to stretch to reach it. On the Daytona 675, set the EST333 so that the blade lies under the first joints of your index and middle fingers while the other two hold the bar. A short blade helps, because it ends before the ring finger and cannot press it against the grip when you pull the clutch in quickly; the short length is made in green, orange, silver, gold and blue. On the road the same set-up is useful on gravel-strewn bends or in slow queues, where a quick pull on the clutch can prevent a stall or a slide. If most of your riding is on the road, the standard blade of approximately 138 mm gives a lighter pull, since its extra length provides more leverage.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the EST333 for the Daytona 675 from 2006 to 2017, with an additional entry for 2013 and 2014, so the lever is shown both for the original bike and for the redesigned model that arrived in 2013. It replaces the stock blade at the original clutch mounting. For the brake side of the Daytona 675 there are two Accossato levers: the EDF035 (2006 to 2017) and the EDF099 (2011 to 2017).

Road Approval

The EST333 is sold for track use, as no German ABE is documented for it.

Scope of Delivery
