DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many Bonneville T100s spend the winter under a cover, and many others are ridden right through it. Either way, the parts that suffer most are the exposed ones, and few parts are as exposed as the levers. The Accossato EST333 is a machined aluminium clutch lever for the Triumph Bonneville T100 from 2006 to 2015. Its anodised finish is part of the metal rather than a coat on top of it, and the reach to the grip can be adjusted to the gloves you wear in the cold months.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the 900 T100, 2006 to 2015
- Anodised finish in seven colours, hub always black
- CNC-machined from aluminium
- Mounts at the original clutch mounting
- Adjustable distance between blade and grip
- Standard blade approximately 138 mm; short and long depending on colour
- One-piece rigid construction
Construction and Material Quality
The EST333 is made from aluminium on CNC machines. After machining comes anodising: in an electrolytic bath, the surface of the aluminium is converted into a thin, hard oxide layer that absorbs the colour. The hub is always finished in black, the blade in silver, black, blue, gold, green, red or orange. Being rigid and made in one piece, the EST333 has no hinge and no additional pivot, which leaves fewer places for dirt and moisture to settle.
Winter, Salt and Storage
Paint and chrome both have weak points: paint chips and lets water creep under its edge, and chrome can pit when road salt sits on it. An anodised layer behaves differently because it is grown out of the aluminium, so there is no edge to lift. It is not indestructible, though. Salt left on it for weeks can still dull the surface, so rinse the lever with fresh water after a winter ride and dry it, as you would the rest of the T100. Before the bike goes into storage, a light film of protective spray on the levers and pivots keeps moisture away. Avoid strong alkaline cleaners such as some wheel cleaners on anodised parts, since they can stain the colour. Treated this way, a black or silver blade will look as crisp in spring as it did in autumn. When the thick winter gloves come out, turn the adjuster to move the blade out a little, and bring it back in when summer returns.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list gives 2006 to 2015 for the EST333 on the 900 T100. A second Accossato clutch lever, the ESC777, is listed for the T100 from 2005 to 2015; which of the two your bike needs is easiest to settle by comparing the original lever with the product photos. The EDF014 brake lever completes the pair on the right-hand side and is listed for the T100 from 2006 to 2015 and again from 2021 to 2024.
Road Approval
For German public roads this lever has no documented ABE. It is sold for track use.
