DescriptionThe whole story▼
Summer is when the GSR750 comes into its own: a naked four with nothing between the rider and the warm air, ridden in a mesh jacket and the thinnest gloves in the cupboard. Thin gloves bring the fingers closer to the controls, and a clutch lever set up for winter suddenly feels far away. Accossato's ESS248 is a CNC-machined aluminium clutch lever for the GSR750 of 2011 to 2016, and its reach can be adjusted to suit whichever glove you are wearing.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato makes the ESS248 by machining aluminium on CNC equipment and anodising the finished part. The treatment gives the surface a hard, even oxide layer, black on the hub and coloured on the blade. In the hub you also find the pivot and the reach adjuster, which is what lets the lever follow your glove from season to season. The blade is joined solidly to the hub and does not fold; it moves only around its pivot.
Mesh Gloves in High Summer
Every glove adds a layer between skin and lever. A padded winter glove wraps each finger in a noticeable thickness, a thin summer glove in almost none, and the difference shows most on the clutch, where the fingers work in the middle of the lever's travel rather than at its end. Set up for thick gloves, the lever has to stand further out, or it presses on the fingers before you have even pulled it. In July, with mesh gloves, that same setting leaves the fingers reaching, and the friction point arrives with the hand open and weaker. Moving the ESS248 in for the summer brings the take-up back to the part of the pull where the hand is strongest. On a GSR750 ridden through town on a hot afternoon, that makes clutch work lighter and smoother at the very moment when heat and stop-and-go traffic already make the ride tiring. When autumn comes, simply move it back out.
Fitment and Compatibility
The ESS248 is listed by Accossato for the GSR750 from 2011 to 2016 and replaces the original lever at the stock clutch mounting. The EDF014 is the matching brake lever for the GSR750 over the same years. Long blades are made in blue, gold, green and orange, short ones in those four colours and in silver, and black and red in the standard length only.
Road Approval
Without a documented German ABE, the ESS248 is sold for circuit riding.
