DescriptionThe whole story▼
An Eldorado is a bike people clean. The chrome, the whitewall tyres and the spoked wheels only look their part when they are cared for, and owners often spend as long with a cloth as on the road. The Accossato ESC023 is a clutch lever for the Moto Guzzi Eldorado of 2015 to 2020 that asks for very little of that attention: anodised, CNC-machined aluminium for the original clutch mounting, with the reach set by an adjuster at the pivot.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Moto Guzzi Eldorado 1400, 2015 to 2020
- Replaces the stock lever at the original clutch mounting
- Reach adjustable near the pivot
- Seven anodised colours with a black hub
- Three blade lengths, standard about 138 mm
- CNC-machined solid aluminium
- No hinge, no folding joint
- No German ABE documented; track use
Construction and Material Quality
Anodising is the reason this lever is easy to live with. After the ESC023 has been milled from a solid aluminium blank, an electrochemical bath converts its surface into a dense oxide layer that carries the colour. The result is not a coating that can peel, but it is not indestructible either, and it rewards gentle treatment. The hub, with the pivot and the reach adjuster, always comes out black; the blade takes one of seven colours and runs in one piece to the tip.
Cleaning Day and Winter Storage
Chrome and anodised aluminium need different care. Chrome can be polished; anodising should not be, because metal polish and abrasive pads wear through the coloured layer. Clean the ESC023 with the same mild motorcycle cleaner and soft cloth you use on the paint, rinse off road salt or grime promptly, and dry the blade and the pivot area afterwards. Keep strong acidic or alkaline wheel cleaners away from it, as they can dull the finish. Before the Eldorado goes into winter storage, a thin film of non-abrasive protectant on the blade and a drop of light oil at the pivot are enough. In spring, check that the lever moves freely and springs back fully, and that the reach setting has not shifted. Treated this way, the finish stays fresh long after the chrome around it has needed its next polish.
Fitment and Compatibility
The ESC023 is catalogued for the Eldorado with the years 2015 to 2020, and it replaces the Moto Guzzi part at the original clutch mounting. On the brake side, the EDF023 covers the same period. Black and red blades are made only in the standard length, silver in standard and short; the long blade comes in blue, gold, green and orange.
Road Approval
The ESC023 is not covered by a documented German ABE and is supplied for use on the track.
