DescriptionThe whole story▼
Mountain roads ask a lot of the left hand. Stopping at a junction on a steep climb, then pulling away without rolling back, or creeping round a tight hairpin in first gear with the clutch slipping, both come down to holding the friction point exactly where you want it. The Accossato ESH011 is a clutch lever for the Multistrada 950 from 2019 to 2021, machined from aluminium and anodised, with a reach that brings the blade closer to your fingers and three lengths to choose from.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Multistrada 950 and 950 S, 2019 to 2021
- Mounts on the original clutch mounting
- Adjustable reach for precise control of the friction point
- Short, standard (approximately 138 mm) or long blade
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- Hub in black, blade in black, red, silver, gold, orange, blue or green
- One rigid piece without a hinge, sold in its own box
Construction and Material Quality
The ESH011 is machined from aluminium on CNC equipment and then anodised, black at the hub and in your chosen colour along the blade. It is a fixed lever: hub and blade form one unit, and the only moving joint is the pivot on the bike. That gives the clutch a consistent feel, because there is nothing in the lever itself that can move before the clutch starts to respond.
Hill Starts and Hairpins
For a hill start, hold the bike with the rear brake, let the clutch out until you feel the engine start to pull against it, add a little throttle and release the rear brake as the bike moves off. The critical part is that moment of holding the clutch at its friction point, and it is much easier when the blade meets the middle of your fingers than when you are pulling with the fingertips at full stretch.
Tight uphill hairpins are similar. At very low speed, many riders let the clutch slip slightly to keep the drive smooth, and fine adjustments count. Set the reach so that you can work the lever with two fingers and still hold the grip firmly with the rest of the hand, then check that the clutch disengages completely when the lever is fully pulled. The short blade is well suited to this two-finger control; blue, green, orange, gold and silver are made in that length.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the ESH011 for the Multistrada 950 and the 950 S from 2019 to 2021, where it replaces the original clutch lever. On the brake side of the Multistrada 950, Accossato offers the EDF099.
Road Approval
This clutch lever has no documented German ABE and is sold for use on the track.
Scope of Delivery
