DescriptionThe whole story▼
Of the two versions, the Diavel 1260 S is the sportier way to own Ducati's muscle cruiser, with fully adjustable suspension and a chassis that encourages riders to carry speed into corners. On a long, heavy bike, the moment that decides how a bend goes is often not the squeeze on the brake but the release: how gradually the pressure comes off as the bike begins to lean. The Accossato EDF099 brake lever for the 2019 to 2022 Diavel 1260 S is CNC-machined from aluminium and has an adjustable reach, so the fingers can control that release from a comfortable position.

Construction and Material Quality
A lever that is meant to let go gradually must not move anywhere except around its pivot. The EDF099 is therefore a fixed lever: one blade machined from solid aluminium, without a hinge between hub and tip that could develop a little play as it wears. Black anodising covers the pivot end, where the reach is set, and your chosen colour covers the rest. Because that colour is part of the anodised surface rather than a layer of paint, it keeps its look on a bike that is cleaned often and ridden with intent.
The Art of Letting Go
Braking into a bend on the Diavel 1260 S is a hand-over. The front brake loads the fork, and as you start to turn in, the pressure is released a little at a time so the front tyre can exchange braking grip for cornering grip. Done well, the bike settles and turns; done abruptly, the fork rises and the line runs wide. Fine control of that release comes from the fingertips, and fingertips are most sensitive when the joints are neither stretched out nor curled tight. With the reach adjuster you can find the position where the blade meets the first finger joint, then leave it there.
Riders who brake with two fingers on fast roads often choose the short blade, which is available in blue, gold, green, orange and silver. The standard length suits those who use three or four fingers on the lever.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this lever for the Diavel 1260 S from 2019 to 2022. The standard Diavel 1260 of the same years is sold here as a separate product, so pick the page that matches the designation in your vehicle documents. If your bike is a 2023 or later model, it is a Diavel V4, which we list separately.
Road Approval
For German roads, no ABE is documented. This lever is therefore sold for use on closed circuits.
Scope of Delivery
Delivered as one brake lever, anodised in the chosen colour, in a dedicated Accossato box.
