Two small caps sit within a hand's reach of each other on a Panigale V4 S: the clutch reservoir on the left bar and, further down, the oil filler on the engine. They are the parts an owner touches most often and the ones a passer-by notices first when the machine is on its stand. Accossato makes both, which means a colour chosen once can appear twice and look deliberate. The FP007 is the clutch reservoir cover, machined from aluminium and anodised in six colours.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the FP007 from aluminium on CNC equipment, and the six colours, blue, black, orange, red, silver and gold, arrive through anodising. That process colours the metal itself, so the finish tolerates the gloves, rain and cleaning cloths that pass over a handlebar part in a normal riding season. The cover is designed for the clutch master cylinder Ducati fits to the machines on the application list, and it replaces the original cover without touching the hydraulics of a Panigale V4 S. When you lift the old one away, look at the diaphragm below and fit a new one if it has stiffened or lost its shape.
Two Caps in the Same Shade
Choosing a colour is easier if you decide how many parts will carry it before you order the first one. Two matching pieces on a Panigale V4 S look considered; a collection assembled over three years rarely does. Once that is settled, the fitting is routine work. Turn the handlebars until the clutch reservoir lies flat, spread a cloth over the tank and the instruments, and keep clean water beside you, because the fluid in this system marks paint and gives you no time to fetch anything. Read the level against the marks and look at the colour of what is in there; if it has gone dark, the answer is a proper fluid change at the interval the owner's manual sets, not a new cover. Keep the reservoir open only as long as the job needs, since the fluid draws moisture out of the air. Tighten the FP007 gently and evenly, then work the lever repeatedly with the engine off, checking that the bite point sits where it always did before you ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Panigale V4 S of 2018 and 2019, Accossato lists the FP007 as the cover for the original clutch master cylinder. A machine with a replacement master cylinder should be compared against that application list before ordering. In our catalogue the same cover appears for the Multistrada 1260 Enduro, the Monster 1200 and Aprilia's Dorsoduro 1200. The other Accossato caps for this bike are the FP004 at the engine filler, the TS003 at the front brake reservoir and the TS012 at the rear.
Road Approval
An ABE or comparable test mark for the FP007 is not available to us, so the cover is sold for racing and competition purposes.
