DescriptionThe whole story▼
A long day on a Panigale V4 is measured by the left hand as much as by anything else. Out of the yard, through town, up the first climb, a queue behind a tractor, then the pass and the descent and the queue at the fuel station: the clutch lever is worked hundreds of times before lunch. What makes that tolerable is a hydraulic system in good condition, and part of that system is the small reservoir on the left bar. Accossato's FP007 is its cover, machined in aluminium and anodised in six colours.

Construction and Material Quality
The FP007 is cut from aluminium on CNC machinery and finished by anodising in blue, black, orange, red, silver or gold. Anodised colour holds up well on a part that is touched, gloved, rained on and wiped down more than most, and it will not flake at an edge. Accossato makes the cover for the master cylinder that Ducati mounts on the machines in its application list, so on a Panigale V4 the change is limited to what you can see: the hydraulics behind it are left alone. Lift the old cover carefully and look at the original diaphragm below, replacing it if it has gone hard or lost its shape.
The Left Hand on a Long Day
Give the clutch some thought in the week before a big ride rather than the night before. Turn the bars of the Panigale V4 until the reservoir on the left lies flat, put a folded cloth over the tank and the instruments, and keep water beside you, because the fluid attacks paint and a splash has to be washed away at once. With the cover off, the level should sit between the marks and the fluid should still look clear. Anything dark belongs to the workshop and the interval in the owner's manual, since fresh fluid is what restores a vague lever, not a new cover. Do not leave the reservoir standing open while you look for a tool; moisture from the air goes into the fluid and stays there. Tighten the FP007 evenly and without effort, then pull the lever twenty or thirty times with the engine off and pay attention to where the bite point falls. It should be exactly where it was before you started. That is the whole test, and it takes a minute.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Panigale V4 of 2018 and 2019, including the Special, Accossato lists the FP007 as the cover for the standard clutch master cylinder. If a different master cylinder has been fitted, compare it with the maker's application list before ordering. At Inter-Pace the same cover is catalogued for the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, the Monster 1200 S and Aprilia's Caponord 1200. The FP004 oil filler cap, the TS003 front reservoir cap and the TS012 rear cap complete Accossato's range for this motorcycle.
Road Approval
We are unable to show a German ABE or any test mark for the FP007, so it is offered here as a racing and competition part.
