The Multistrada 950 is often the bike that brings riders into the adventure class: tall and upright, yet less intimidating than its bigger sisters. Anyone who wants to handle it confidently at walking pace ends up practising in an empty car park, riding slow circles and figures of eight with the clutch slipping and the rear brake dragging lightly. The left hand does most of the fine work. Accossato lists the FP007, an aluminium cover for the clutch master cylinder reservoir, for the Multistrada 950 of 2019 and 2020.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato produces the FP007 from aluminium by CNC machining and colours it by anodising in red, gold, silver, black, blue or orange. The cover is made for the standard clutch master cylinders of the bikes on its list, so on the Multistrada 950 only the reservoir lid changes, while the hydraulic clutch stays as Ducati built it. Under the old cover sits a seal or diaphragm; check it for cracks and stiffness, and renew it if necessary, before the reservoir is closed again.
Slow Circles in the Car Park
Slow-speed control is a skill of small movements. The engine runs a little above idle, the clutch is held in its friction zone, the rear brake steadies the bike, and the eyes look where the bike should go rather than at the ground. On a Multistrada 950 this becomes second nature after a few sessions, but only if the clutch lever behaves the same way every time. A bite point that seems to move around makes the exercise frustrating, and old fluid is one possible cause. Clutch fluid takes up moisture over time and should be renewed at the interval in the owner's manual. Between changes, a quick look tells you a lot: with the bars turned until the reservoir is level, the fluid should sit between the two lines and look clear. If you fit the FP007, cover the tank and nearby paint, keep water within reach to rinse off any drop of fluid immediately, and keep the reservoir open no longer than needed. Tighten the cover with a light hand and pull the lever several times before the engine is started. Then go back to the car park and ride a few slow circles. The friction zone should be exactly where your hand expects it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the FP007 for the Multistrada 950 of 2019 and 2020, including the 950 S and its SW and Touring variants, fitted to the original clutch master cylinder. Earlier 950s from 2017 and 2018 do not appear on the list for this cover, so compare their clutch with the applications before ordering. The same part is catalogued at Inter-Pace for the Multistrada 1260 Enduro, the Hypermotard 950 and the Aprilia Caponord 1200. For the 950, Accossato also makes the FP004 oil filler cap and the TS003 and TS014 brake reservoir caps.
