DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Stone 750 strips away most of the brightwork a V7 usually carries, so the parts that are left bare, including the steering stem's thread above the top yoke, read differently on this bike than they would behind a row of chrome trim. Accossato's SC006 covers that thread completely, a closed nut, M29x1, aluminium, anodised in eight colours, listed for the Stone 750 of 2017 to 2019.
Key Features
- Steering stem nut, closed pattern, for the Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone 750
- Accossato's years: 2017 to 2019
- M29x1 thread
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Covers the stem thread fully, unlike the open SA006
- Fixes the upper triple clamp to the steering stem
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The SC006 comes off the same CNC machines as the open SA006, aluminium turned anodised in eight colours with orange added to the usual seven, one more shade than that open version. Its closed shape covers the stem's thread fully, which on a Stone 750 means one less patch of bright machined metal breaking up an otherwise matt bike. The M29x1 thread underneath and the nut's job, holding the upper triple clamp to the stem, match the open version exactly.
Matt Paint, One Fewer Bright Spot
Riders who choose the Stone 750 over the Special usually do it for the look rather than for anything mechanical, and that look depends on keeping bright, reflective surfaces to a minimum. Black is the obvious match for that idea, closing the last visible bit of bare aluminium at the top of the forks, though a single colour such as titanium or red can also work as the one deliberate exception on a deliberately plain bike. Fitting the SC006 remains steering head work, carried out with the torque figures and bearing settings the V7 III's manual sets out.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list for the SC006 covers the Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone 750 from 2017 to 2019. The same part is also listed for the Moto Guzzi California Audace 1400, the V9 Bobber and the V7 III Special. On the Stone 750, Accossato also offers the open SA006.
Road Approval
We hold no German ABE or test documentation for the SC006, so it is supplied for racing and competition use.
