DescriptionThe whole story▼
This Accossato hose replaces the single rubber clutch line on the Yamaha V-Max 1700, built between 2009 and 2017, with aeronautical braid along the same path the factory hose took. The V-Max puts out a huge amount of torque from its V4 engine, and while the clutch itself rarely needs slipping hard once the bike is moving, a crisp, consistent engagement point at the lever makes it easier to judge exactly when the clutch starts to bite on a bike this heavy. The V-Max's clutch pull is already on the heavier side for a cruiser, and a consistent engagement point takes some of the guesswork out of pulling away smoothly from a standstill with all that weight behind it.
Key Features
- Single clutch hose built to the Clutch (C) layout
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Painted stainless steel fittings in red, green, blue, black or gold
- Follows the same routing as the original clutch hose
- Sold as a single kit matched to this part number
Construction and Material Quality
The hose is a single length of stainless braid over the inner line, finished with fittings made from stainless steel that this part also offers painted in five colours. On a cruiser as visually striking as the V-Max, a painted fitting is a small but noticeable way to carry the bike's styling down to the clutch lever, and the braid itself spans the full twenty-colour range on top of that choice.
A Single Line, Simply Routed
With only one hose in the circuit, the V-Max's clutch line needs nothing more than a direct replacement under the Clutch layout, running from the lever's master cylinder to the slave cylinder at the gearbox the same way the rubber original did. There is no second line to account for, which keeps the fitting job straightforward.
Fitment and Compatibility
This hose fits the Yamaha V-Max 1700 built between 2009 and 2017. Accossato does not list a different configuration for this model, so this single-hose kit is the clutch line offered for it. Because Accossato lists only this one configuration for the V-Max, there is no alternative layout or hose count to weigh up before ordering, which keeps the decision straightforward.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 1 braided hose for the Clutch layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
