DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha Niken's leaning three-wheel front end carries two complete front suspension legs, each with its own disc and caliper, which is why this Accossato kit for the 2017–2018 Niken runs to eight hoses rather than the five or seven a conventional two-wheeled naked bike needs. Every one of those hoses is replaced here with aeronautical braid, following the same Standard-layout routing Yamaha used for the rubber lines, so the unusual front end is covered without any hose being left on the original rubber.
Key Features
- Eight-hose set covering the Niken's twin-front-wheel brake circuit
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings, the only finish offered for this part
- Keeps the factory Standard-layout routing across both front legs
- Every hose in the kit finished to the same specification
Construction and Material Quality
Each of the eight lines pairs a stainless braid sheath with fittings made from stainless steel, supplied only bare on this part. With that many hoses in one kit, the twenty-colour braid range gives real scope for a coordinated look across both front legs and the rear, even without a painted fitting option.
Why the Niken Needs Eight Hoses
Each of the Niken's two front wheels gets its own fork leg, disc and caliper, and the factory routes the brake circuit so that both front ends are fed from the same master cylinder before each reaches its own disc and caliper; this kit's eight hoses cover that full layout plus the single rear line, all to the Standard layout the bike left the factory with.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the Yamaha Niken built in 2017 and 2018. The same eight-hose configuration also covers the Niken GT of those years, since both versions share the identical front-end brake hardware; only the extra equipment for long-distance riding differs between the two. A dealer stocking spares for both Niken versions only needs to hold the one eight-hose kit, since the fitment tab lists the standard bike and the GT against the same part.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 8 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
