DescriptionThe whole story▼
This Accossato kit supplies all seven hoses needed to convert the ABS-equipped Yamaha FZ8, built from 2011 to 2015, from rubber to aeronautical braid, keeping the same Standard-layout routing the factory used. The extra lines over a non-ABS bike's circuit come from the bike's ABS system, and every one of those rubber sections ages the same way, softening under repeated hard braking until the lever starts to feel vague. Replacing the full set restores a firmer, more predictable bite without disturbing how the ABS itself operates.
Key Features
- Full seven-hose set for the ABS-equipped FZ8
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings, the only finish offered for this part
- Keeps the factory Standard-layout routing, ABS system included
- Supplied as a complete braided hose kit under this part number
Construction and Material Quality
Each of the seven lines uses a stainless braid sheath over the inner hose, capped with fittings made from stainless steel; as this part is offered only in bare steel, the full set shares one consistent finish across every hose. The braid itself spans twenty colours, so even with no choice on the fitting, the kit can still be finished anywhere from a plain black set to a bright single-colour braid running the length of the bike.
Fitting a Full ABS Brake Circuit
Seven hoses is more than most naked bikes need, but the ABS FZ8's circuit needs more hose to cover its ABS system, which is why the count is higher than the three-hose Full-length kit Accossato offers for the non-ABS version. Every one of the seven lines here follows the Standard layout, meaning it takes the same path the original rubber hose did into and out of the ABS system, so a workshop fitting this kit is doing a direct hose swap rather than rerouting anything around the modulator.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit is built for the Yamaha FZ8 with ABS, produced between 2011 and 2015. Accossato also lists a three-hose Full-length kit, part AGF9750, for the FZ8's naked S and faired N versions built from 2010 to 2015; those non-ABS bikes use the shorter three-hose circuit, so the two kits are not interchangeable.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 7 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
