DescriptionThe whole story▼
Hard oxidation is one of the CNC-machined finishes Accossato offers on the PZ015, an axial caliper built to an 84 mm distance between mounting centres and a 16 mm offset, designed so the same body can be mounted to the left, to the right or at the rear of the bike. Two aluminium pistons, 34 mm in diameter, sit alongside a dust seal, and the caliper comes with two AGPA42 brake pads already in place in the chosen compound.
Key Features
- Axial brake caliper, 84 mm mounting centres
- Offset 16 mm
- CNC-machined manufacturing
- Two aluminium pistons, 34 mm diameter
- Dust seal fitted as standard
- Two brake pads, code AGPA42, organic or sintered compound
- Mounts to the left, right or rear of the bike
- Listed for 41 models in our garage, see the Fitment tab
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines this version of the PZ015 from a billet on CNC equipment, rather than casting it as the die-cast version in the range is produced, and finishes the body in hard oxidation once machining is complete. The 34 mm aluminium pistons, the dust seal and the AGPA42 pads are fitted during assembly, with the pads available in either the organic compound for long service life or the sintered compound for consistent grip in changing conditions on track or road.
One Caliper for Left, Right or Rear
After a crash that has damaged a single caliper, or when planning a brake upgrade that touches both sides of the bike plus the rear, the PZ015's left, right and rear mounting flexibility means one part number covers all three positions rather than needing separate left and right-specific parts, as some other axial calipers require. Ordering more than one at a time, in the same hard oxidation finish, keeps the look consistent across whichever positions on the bike are being replaced or upgraded at once.
Fitment and Compatibility
Checking the Fitment tab turns up 41 models recorded against the PZ015 in our garage, among them the Aprilia RS 660 FACTORY, the TUONO V4 1100 and the Ducati HYPERMOTARD 939, out of 67 logged applications for this caliper. Riders fitting it to a model that isn't listed should measure the 84 mm mounting centres and 16 mm offset themselves and settle on which of the three mounting positions is required before placing an order.
Road Approval
Accossato does not supply ABE documentation for the PZ015, so swapping in this caliper in place of the original equipment is subject to registration before the bike returns to the road, and this is worth confirming with a testing authority beforehand. Replacing a brake caliper is always safety-relevant work, so having it fitted and the brake system bled by a qualified workshop is strongly recommended.
Scope of Delivery
1x Accossato PZ015 axial brake caliper in hard oxidation, with two AGPA42 brake pads in the chosen compound already fitted.
