DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a kind place to start on a race circuit. It is light, it forgives clumsy inputs and it leaves enough attention free for what a first track day is really about: lines, braking points and learning to use your body. That last part is where many newcomers struggle, sitting upright and holding the bars as they would on the road. Accossato's FT075 rearsets for the Ninja 300 of 2013 to 2015 set the feet further back than the standard pegs and can be run with a standard or reversed gear pattern.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato builds the FT075 from aluminium and describes its design as simple and functional. The footpegs are knurled, and so are the tips of the gear lever and brake pedal, which gives a boot sole plenty of texture to work with. Heel guards, also in aluminium, complete the set. Accossato calls the rearsets adjustable; its information neither explains the adjustment nor states the number of positions, so treat any further detail as something to confirm with us. You can have the kit black throughout or black with green details, a nod to Kawasaki's racing colour.
Your First Day on a Circuit
The morning of a first track day follows a familiar pattern: noise test, briefing, a talk about flags and overtaking rules, then the first session in the novice group. Most newcomers spend it clutching the handlebar, because on the road that is where control seems to come from. The instructors will tell you the opposite: hold the bike with your knees and feet, and let the hands steer lightly.
Rearsets make that lesson easier to put into practice. With the footrests further back, it feels more natural to lean the upper body forward, press the knees into the tank and keep the balls of the feet on the pegs, ready to move your weight to the inside of the next bend. On a bike as light as the Ninja 300, shifting your body has a noticeable effect on how it holds a line, so the effort pays off quickly.
Keep the standard gear pattern for your first days, even though the FT075 allows a reversed one; there is enough to learn without relearning gear changes as well. And before you load the bike for the circuit, sit on it on a paddock stand in leathers and boots to check that both levers are within easy reach.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FT075 under the name EX 300 Ninja R for 2013 to 2015, and we list it for the Ninja 300 of those years. The kit takes over from the rider's footrests together with the gear lever and brake pedal. A workshop should mount it, adjust both linkages, check the free play and confirm that the brake light works, tightening every bolt to Kawasaki's torque figures and applying thread lock where Kawasaki specifies it.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or parts certificate on record for the FT075, so it is not approved for German roads and is meant for the track. A reversed shift pattern would be unusual on the road in any case.
