DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Shark Aeron Full Carbon DAD delivers race-bred engineering to riders who demand genuine everyday usability without compromising on safety or long-haul comfort. Its full carbon and aramid fibre shell keeps weight impressively low, so whether you are commuting across town or covering motorway miles, fatigue stays firmly in check.
Key Features
- Full carbon and aramid fibre composite shell — exceptional rigidity at minimal weight for reduced rider fatigue on long journeys
- ECE 22.06 certified — meets the latest and most stringent European safety standard
- 2 shell sizes and 4 EPS liner sizes ensure an aerodynamically optimised fit across the full size range
- Anti-fog and scratch-resistant visor with a wide field of vision — practical confidence in variable conditions
- Visor locking system for security at speed, plus tear-off posts for track use
- 5 intake and 7 exhaust ventilation channels deliver a genuinely cool and quiet ride in all weathers
- Removable, washable antimicrobial liner keeps the helmet fresh through daily use
Shell and Construction
Shark constructed the Aeron DAD shell entirely from a carbon fibre and aramid fibre composite — the same material philosophy found in purpose-built race helmets. The result is a structure that absorbs impact energy efficiently while keeping the overall weight low enough to make a real difference over a full riding day. Two shell sizes cover the six head circumferences in the range, each paired with one of four EPS liner thicknesses, so the fit is never achieved by padding alone.
Visor and Visibility
The visor is treated with both anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings as standard, giving you a clear view in cold morning air as readily as on a warm summer evening. The compact visor mechanism follows the helmet's aerodynamic lines closely, and the locking system holds the visor firmly sealed against wind noise and buffeting at higher speeds. Tear-off posts are already integrated for riders who take the Aeron DAD to the track.
Comfort for Everyday Riders
Shark equipped the Aeron DAD with a suite of comfort features that make it as liveable on a daily commute as on an extended tour. Morpho-Pads — three-dimensional interior cheek pads — conform to your specific head shape rather than forcing a generic fit. The antimicrobial liner is fully removable and washable. Spectacle-friendly grooves allow glasses to be put on and removed without a struggle, and the removable cheek and ear pads can be swapped for alternative thicknesses if needed. An emergency quick-release system on the cheek pads is integrated for first-responder access.
The aerodynamic rear spoiler stabilises the helmet at speed, reducing lift and easing pressure on the neck — a detail that adds genuine comfort on faster roads and motorways. The colour is a polished gloss carbon finish in black and anthracite that lets the natural weave show through, striking without being showy.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Shark Aeron Full Carbon DAD is a full-face helmet suitable for road and track use. It is part of the 2024–2025 Shark collection and is compatible with Shark's own range of Aeron-series accessories and visors. Tear-off posts are integrated for use with standard tear-offs in racing applications.

“This is the road Aeron, not the GP. Same family, different shell, and no FIM homologation — it will not pass race scrutineering. For open track days the airflow alone makes it worth the look.”
— the Inter-Pace crewECE 22.06 only — the racing homologation is the GP's.
Double-D and multi-density EPS; two shell sizes.
Five inlets, seven extractors — outstanding for a road helmet.
