One of the few Termignoni silencers for the S1000RR that you may legally ride on the road. Part BW13080CV is the Relevance body with a carbon fibre sleeve, built for the 2014 to 2016 S1000RR and S1000R, and it carries EC homologation — which on this bike is the exception, not the rule.

What road approval actually buys you

It means the bike stays roadworthy: no separate inspection, no entry in the papers, nothing to explain at a roadside check. The trade is real and worth naming — a homologated silencer is quieter and less free-flowing than the racing cans further up this range, because it has to meet a noise and emissions limit. If the bike is a road bike, that is the correct trade. If it lives on a circuit, one of the racing kits will do more.

The simplest change on this bike

Because it keeps the standard mid-pipe and catalyst, this is a genuine bolt-on: silencer off, silencer on, done in under an hour with hand tools. Nothing about the fuelling changes, so there is no dyno session hiding behind the purchase.

BMW S1000RR and S1000R, model years 2014, 2015 and 2016. The 2019-onwards K67 uses a different tail and mounting — for that generation see the BW24 and BW25 silencers.
