Was ein offener Helm leistet — und was nicht
🔵 Zum Schutzumfang gehört Klarheit: Ein offener Helm nach ECE 22.06 ist voll zugelassen und geprüft — aber er hat kein Kinnteil. Kiefer, Kinn und Zähne sind ungeschützt.
🔵 Und es gibt keine unabhängige Sternebewertung: SHARP prüft ausschließlich geschlossene Helme, sodass für Jethelme kein vergleichbares Ergebnis existiert.
Zur Aventure-Grafik TC-2
Grafiken verhalten sich auf einem Jethelm anders als auf einem Integralhelm, und diese hier zeigt es deutlich. Auf einem Integralhelm wird ein Dekor unterbrochen: Es endet am Kinnbügel, springt über die Visieröffnung und muss sich um Lüftergehäuse herumarbeiten. Auf einer Jetschale gibt es nichts davon — die Zeichnung läuft über eine einzige, ununterbrochene Fläche und kann als ein zusammenhängendes Bild gelesen werden. Wer schon einmal bemerkt hat, wie zerstückelt eine Sporthelmgrafik aus der Nähe wirkt, sieht hier den Unterschied. 🟢 Für die Sichtbarkeit gilt: Eine Zeichnung mit klaren Helligkeitssprüngen wird vom Auge schneller aufgelöst als eine gleichmäßige Fläche. 🔵 Der Vorbehalt gilt für alle mehrfarbigen Grafiken: Sie altern ungleichmäßig. Kräftige Töne verlieren unter dauernder UV-Last früher an Sättigung als gedeckte, und nach ein paar Sommern fällt das als Verschiebung des Farbverhältnisses auf. Im Schatten lagern ist die einzige wirksame Gegenmaßnahme.
AIM, vier Schalen und ein Doppel-D-Ring
🟢 Bei rund 1150 g verändert sich das Fahrgefühl spürbar: Der Kopf wird bei Schulterblicken weniger geführt, und nach einem langen Tag fehlt die Nackenmüdigkeit, die man von schwereren Helmen kennt.
Die Schale ist AIM-Glasfaserverbund in vier Größen, darunter arbeitet mehrdichtiges EPS, gehalten von einem Doppel-D-Ring.
Das CJ-4-Visier — und das Pinlock, das es dafür nicht gibt
🟢 Der werkzeuglose Visierwechsel passt zur Nutzung dieses Helms: Wer keine Sonnenblende hat, wechselt öfter das Visier. Beim CJ-4 dauert das eine Minute, ohne Schraubendreher und ohne Kleinteile, die auf den Boden fallen.
🔵 Was dabei nicht geht: eine Pinlock-Scheibe einsetzen. Für das CJ-4 wird keine gefertigt.
Druckknöpfe, Schirme und die Motorradbrille
🟢 Der Retro-MX-Schirm ist der auffälligste der drei: lang, kantig, aus der Zeit vor der Vollverkleidung. In Kombination mit einer Motorradbrille und der Schlaufe am Heck entsteht daraus ein Scrambler-Auftritt, für den man sonst zwei Helme bräuchte.
Montage über drei Druckknöpfe; passt auch auf den Shoei EX-Zero.
Belüftung ohne einen einzigen Lüfter
Was bei diesem Helm auffällt, ist, was nicht da ist: keine Lüfterschieber, keine Gehäuse, keine Auslässe am Heck. Die Belüftung läuft integriert über Innenraumgestaltung und Gesichtsöffnung.
🔵 Damit einher geht der Verzicht auf jede Regelbarkeit — öffnen und schließen ist nicht vorgesehen.
Innenraum, Einfassung und die richtige Passform
🟢 Wer den Helm täglich fährt, sollte wissen, dass sich hier wirklich alles herausnehmen und waschen lässt — Kopfpolster, Wangenpolster, Einfassung. Bei einem Helm, der mehrmals am Tag auf- und abgesetzt wird, ist das der Unterschied zwischen gepflegt und unangenehm.
🔵 Ein Interkom ist nicht vorgesehen: keine Aussparungen, kein System.
Rund 1150 Gramm — und der Rest der ehrlichen Liste
🟢 1150 g sind ein Wert, den kein Integralhelm dieser Qualität erreicht — und er entsteht nicht durch dünneres Material, sondern durch das, was fehlt: Sonnenblendenmechanik, Lüfterhardware, Kinnteil.
🔵 Genau diese Abwesenheiten sind auch die ehrliche Liste: kein Kinnschutz, keine Blende, kein Pinlock, kein Interkom.
Wo er im Shoei-Programm steht
🟢 Innerhalb der klassischen Jethelme ist der J·O2 Shoeis meistgekauftes Modell — die Kombination aus vier Schalengrößen, rund 1150 g und der schlichten runden Form findet sich sonst kaum.
Der Vergleich lohnt zum EX-Zero (noch klassischer, stärker auf Brille ausgelegt) und zum J-Cruise 3 (moderner, voll ausgestattet).
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Ein Hinweis zur Reihenfolge: Bevor Sie den Helm als ausgesessen abschreiben, tauschen Sie die Wangenpolster. In den meisten Fällen ist das der Grund, warum ein zwei Jahre alter Helm plötzlich wackelt — und sie sind in mehreren Stärken lieferbar.
