Wo Dark Shadow Dual Hochglanz gegen Matt setzt, geht diese Version ueber die ganze Schale ins Matte – derselbe Dark-Shadow-Name, eine flachere, einheitlichere Wirkung. An der Form aendert sich nichts: Spoiler, Lufteinlaesse und Visiereinfassung sind identisch mit jedem anderen Jet-Cup-Dekor, aber eine durchgehend matte Schale schluckt Licht statt Glanzlichter ueber die Rundungen zu werfen, was das Erscheinungsbild von der anderen Seite eines Parkplatzes staerker veraendert als jede Grafik.
Der Spoiler kennt kein Finish
Shark hat den Heckspoiler eigenstaendig fuer die Jet-Cup-Schale konstruiert und im Windkanal getestet, nicht als Uebernahme aus der Aeroarbeit des Vollvisier-Skwal-Cup, speziell um die Luftabloesung am Heck eines offenen Helms zu steuern – eine Form mit mehr Angriffsflaeche fuer verwirbelte Luft als die abgedichtete Front eines Integralhelms. Diese Funktion haengt vollstaendig an der geformten Geometrie, nicht am Lack darauf, also arbeitet eine durchgehend matte Schale hier identisch zu einer glaenzenden.
Schale und Verschluss
Lexan-Polycarbonat, in zwei getrennten Schalengroessen (XS-M und L-XXL, laut unabhaengiger Fachpresse zu diesem Modell) statt einer ueber die ganze Reihe skalierten Form. Der Verschluss ist eine Mikrometerschnalle, nicht der Doppel-D-Ring des Vollvisier-Skwal-Cup – feinstufige Verstellung, einhaendiges Loesen.
Was ECE 22.06 auf einem offenen Helm wirklich prueft
Jeder Skwal Jet Cup, auch dieses Dekor, ist nach ECE 22.06 zertifiziert – der Norm, die seit Januar 2024 EU-weit fuer neu zugelassene Helme Pflicht ist und 22.05 abgeloest hat. Der praktische Unterschied ist erheblich: achtzehn Aufprallpunkte bei mehreren Geschwindigkeiten statt fuenf Punkte bei einer, ein neuer Schraegaufprall-Test gegen einen abrasiven Amboss, der die Schale mit streifender, verdrehender Kraft belastet, und ein bewertetes Brain Injury Criterion speziell fuer Rotationsenergie. Visier, Pinlock-Einsatz und eine eventuell montierte Kommunikationsanlage sind Teil der Pruefung, nicht abmontiert dafuer. Die Norm ist 2206, ohne FIM-Zusatz.
Gewicht und Nackenlast
1.430 g (+/-50 g) ist Sharks eigener Wert, fuer die kleinere der beiden Schalengroessen. Jedes Gramm eines Helms liegt oberhalb des koerpereigenen Gewichts und wird bei jeder Kopfdrehung ueber eine Fahrt mitgetragen, nicht nur bei einem einzelnen Aufprall aufgefangen – das fehlende Kinnbuegel-Gewicht des offenen Gesichts ist der Hauptgrund, warum diese Zahl bequem im typischen Strassenhelm-Band liegt.
Lueftung
Die Schale zieht Luft durch zwei vordere Einlaesse und druckt sie durch zwei hintere Auslaesse hinaus. Ohne Kinnbuegel im Weg erreicht diese Luft den Fahrer direkt, statt zuerst seitlich umgeleitet zu werden – einer der leiseren Vorteile eines offenen Gesichts gegenueber einem Integralhelm, auch wenn er selten als Erstes auffaellt.
Visier und Pinlock
Diese Schale traegt das VZ670-Visier: Optical Class 1, seitlich verriegelnd, anti-kratz-beschichtet und mit einem randseitigen Wirbelgenerator zur Luftfuehrung um die Oeffnung. Es kommt mit bereits montiertem Max-Vision-Pinlock-70-Einsatz, spannungseinstellbar statt einer fixen Einheitsloesung. Sharks Iridium- und Dunkelrauch-Toenungen fuer diese Schale sind ausnahmslos Racing-only – Klar ist die einzige strassenzugelassene Version fuer jeden Fahrer.
Sonnenblende und Alltag
Eine in die Schale integrierte Sonnenblende klappt ueber eine eigene Bedienung herunter, und das Innenfutter laesst Raum fuer Brillenbuegel ohne den Druckpunkt, den manche Helme erzeugen. SENA-Interkom-Kompatibilitaet ist fuer diesen Helm namentlich gelistet.
Passform: was sechs Groessen ueber zwei Schalen bedeutet
XS-M sitzen in der kleineren der beiden Schalen, L-XXL in der groesseren, insgesamt sechs Groessen. Zwei Formen statt einer, nur durch Schaumstoff skaliert, halten die Proportionen an beiden Enden des Bereichs sinnvoll und den vorher genannten Gewichtswert ueber die kleinste Groesse hinaus relevant.
Windgeraeusche, ehrlich gesagt
Jeder Jethelm, auch dieser, ist bauartbedingt lauter bei Tempo als ein Integralhelm: kein Kinnbuegel, und eine Visierkante naeher am Kiefer. Der Wirbelgenerator am Visierrand wirkt gegen Turbulenzen, macht aus einem offenen aber kein geschlossenes Gesicht. Fuer dieses Modell wurde keine Dezibelzahl veroeffentlicht, und keine erscheint hier.

Ersatzteile
Visiere sind ueber die gesamte Jet-Familie geteilt – dieser Helm, der einfache Skwal Jet und der Skwal i3 Jet stammen alle aus derselben Shark-Ersatzteilsammlung und demselben Pinlock-70-Einsatz VZ67005PINCTU, Ersatz ist also leicht zu beschaffen.
Was dieser Helm nicht schuetzt
Ein offenes Gesicht bedeutet genau das: kein Kinnbuegel, bei diesem Dekor wie bei jedem anderen in der Reihe. Aufpralle, die bei einem Integralhelm den Kinnbereich belasten wuerden, treffen hier auf nichts Gleichwertiges. ECE 22.06 prueft, was die Schale tatsaechlich hat – nicht, was ihr bewusst fehlt. Fahrer sollten das als echten Kompromiss fuer die Luftfuehrung und Sicht des offenen Gesichts verstehen, nicht als Formalitaet.
Das Matt selbst
Ein einzelner, gleichmaessiger Mattlack laeuft ohne Glanzunterbrechung ueber die gesamte Schale, was Fingerabdruecke und leichte Kratzer ueber Monate regelmaessiger Handhabung weniger sichtbar haelt als ein Hochglanzfinish. Es ist die schlichteste moegliche Version von Dark Shadow – der Name und die Form, ohne den Zweiton-Kontrast des Schwesterdekors.
Fuer wen sich dieses Dekor eignet
Ein durchgehend mattschwarzer Jethelm ist auch am einfachsten von allen neun neu aussehend zu halten, da es keine Kante gibt, an der sich Wachs- oder Politurreste ansammeln koennten.
