DescriptionThe whole story

Front brake feel is what an RSV4 FACTORY rider talks about after a session, not horsepower. That work falls to the B005 - 102.2 by 42.0 mm of ceramic sinter on a laser-cut plate. On the RSV4 FACTORY that shape comes in EX Race, the mixture ZCOO sells for road, trackday and club racing rather than for sprint distance alone.

Key Features

  • Even pressure distribution across the 102.2 by 42.0 mm face from new to the wear limit
  • Wear indicator geometry unchanged from the standard Brembo pad, so the usual inspection still applies on the RSV4 FACTORY
  • Front axle only: ZCOO lists no rear pad under the B005 reference
  • Supplied as a pack of two - the exact set the Brembo caliper of the RSV4 FACTORY takes
  • Progressive rather than digital: on the Aprilia RSV4 FACTORY the first millimetre of lever travel produces the first millimetre of deceleration
  • Ceramic sintering rather than a resin binder, so there is nothing in the B005 to cook out at the top of the range

Construction and Material Quality

Construction on the B005 follows ZCOO's racing practice throughout. Bonding, not gluing: the ceramic layer of the B005 is fused to the plate under pressure. None of it is visible once the B005 is in the Brembo caliper, which is precisely the point.

Performance and Feel

EX Race is the control-oriented of ZCOO's two ceramic compounds, and on the Aprilia RSV4 FACTORY that is the point. The harder EXC Endurance mixture bit sooner and lasted longer, but asked considerably more of a RSV4 FACTORY disc than the B005 in EX Race does. An RSV4 FACTORY rider sets a braking marker once; the B005 is what lets them keep it.

Fitment and Compatibility

ZCOO's 2026 catalogue lists this reference for the Aprilia RSV4 FACTORY across 6 model years (2019 to 2024). The same B005 shape covers 117 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 102.2 mm length and 42.0 mm height. Front axle exclusively - there is no rear B005.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
