DescriptionThe whole story▼
Titanium collector, 350 millimetre Force Evo silencer, carbon cover over the connection. 4.8 kilos against 6.1 for the standard system on Aprilia's 660 twin — and a number that adds up in an unusual way: the collector alone is 1,180 euro, the silencer group 785, and this system is 1,964. Spark sells the two halves and the whole for the same money.
Key Features
- Full titanium racing system for the Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660, 2020 to 2026.
- Titanium collector with CNC-machined couplings.
- 350 mm Force Evo silencer with carbon end cap.
- Carbon cover over the connection.
- 4.8 kg against 6.1 kg for the standard system.
- Three lambda probe sockets on the manifolds, compatible with Euro5+ machines.
The Carbon Cover Is Not Decoration
Spark is unusually direct about this one. The carbon cover improves the look of the system, and it is also technically necessary for racing use — particularly with rear-set footrests, where it stops the rider's boot making contact with the pipe.
That is worth knowing before you decide it is a styling part you could do without. On a bike set up for the circuit it is between your foot and a tube running at exhaust temperature.
Titanium With Machined Couplings
The collectors are entirely titanium and the couplings are machined from solid on a CNC rather than fabricated. Spark's argument for that is reliability rather than weight: a joint that is cut to size seals repeatedly, where a folded and welded slip joint gradually goes slack on a system that is taken apart between sessions.
The diameters and lengths are where the power claim sits — Spark states an increase across the whole curve rather than a peak figure, which is the more useful claim on a 660 twin.
Force Evo, and Where the Rib Comes From
The Force Evo case carries a rib along the titanium body that converges towards the lines of the carbon end cap. It stiffens the sleeve, which lets the wall stay thin, and it is what separates the shape from the smoother Konix Evo that Spark fits to the same collector.
A removable dB killer is supplied in the box. The 400 mm version of this system, for anyone wanting the longer case, is GAP8809T.
Installation
Full system: the standard collector and silencer both come off. Spark's manifolds carry three lambda probe sockets and the company states compatibility with Euro5+ motorcycles, so the sensor arrangement on a current bike is catered for.
The kit includes a hanger to the chassis for racing use and a dedicated mounting kit for fitting to a standard motorcycle with the passenger footrests in place.
Fitment & Compatibility
Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660, 2020 to 2026. The same collector with the Konix Evo silencer is GAP8806T and with the Grid-O silencer GAP8808T. The 400 mm Force Evo build is GAP8809T. Bought separately, the collector is GAP8806 and this silencer group GAP8807ST.
Road Approval
None. Spark lists this article as not approved. Closed course only.
