Signs it needs replacing
A screw that has worked loose leaves the underplate, and with it the visor, able to move. You notice it as a visor that shifts sideways when opened, or one that no longer closes flush. A screw head that has been rounded off by the wrong screwdriver is the other common reason. Lost screws are replaced here as a set of four.
How it goes on
Remove the visor first. Change one screw at a time so the underplate does not shift. Use a screwdriver that fits the head exactly, turn until the screw is firm and stop there; the thread sits in plastic and strips if overtightened. Refit the visor and check it opens and locks. The plates themselves are FX5051P, same price, if they are worn too. The Spartan comes from the FX50 range, whose other lines name it; the French line reads 4 VIS SOUS PLAQUES ECRAN. One oddity: the customs code given, 8204110000, is the heading for hand spanners, not for screws.
