DescriptionThe whole story▼

Engineered in Barcelona to meet the exacting safety standards of the German TÜV, the Puig Touring Windscreen for the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX (2024–2026) delivers certified aerodynamic protection without compromising your forward sightlines. Homologated under ABE KBA 38182 VS2 and DOT 1312, it is a road-legal upgrade backed by independent certification — not just a styling accessory.

Key Features

  • Certified safety: complies with German TÜV quality standards and carries full ABE KBA 38182 VS2 and DOT 1312 homologation, confirming legal road use in relevant markets.
  • 2 mm rounded profile edges deliver a refined finish that eliminates sharp corners, improving both rider safety and on-bike aesthetics.
  • 4 mm thick high-resistance thermoplastic polymer construction provides lasting rigidity and impact resistance across long-distance touring.
  • UV-resistant material protects against solar degradation, maintaining optical clarity and structural integrity over years of use.
  • Aerodynamic profile developed using virtual wind tunnel testing, compared directly against the original screen to quantify improvements in airflow management and high-speed stability.
  • Tool-friendly fitment process designed for straightforward home installation — no specialist mechanic required.

Design & Build Quality

Puig developed this screen at their Barcelona facility with the GSX-S1000GX's adventure-touring character firmly in mind. The wide, flowing profile complements the GX's upright ergonomics and trail-inspired bodywork, while the breadth of available colours allows a tailored match to the motorcycle's livery. At 1,019 g, the screen adds minimal unsprung mass while meaningfully reshaping the wind envelope around rider and cockpit.

The 4 mm acrylic-grade thermoplastic resists both impact and UV yellowing — a combination that cheaper aftermarket screens frequently fail to offer. The 2 mm rounded perimeter edge is a detail that speaks directly to safety regulations; it is the same geometric requirement that underpins TÜV compliance and ensures no sharp edges are presented to rider or passenger in the event of contact.

Aerodynamics & Road Performance

Every Puig Touring screen is validated through computational fluid dynamics studies run in a virtual wind tunnel. The results of that testing — comparing the Puig unit directly against the OEM screen — are included in the packaging, giving you transparent evidence of the aerodynamic gains. In practical terms, this translates to reduced buffeting fatigue on motorway miles and more predictable high-speed handling on open roads.
