DescriptionThe whole story▼
Adjuster shaft 262/4.3, Öhlins part number 03566-11. Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly.
Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension B 4.3 mm
- Öhlins part number 03566-11
- Dimension A 262 mm
Function
Öhlins gives it as 262 mm, 4.3 mm; nothing about that is approximate. The adjuster shaft runs inside the damper shaft and carries the adjustment to the piston. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup.
Original Öhlins Part
Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.
Identifying the Right Part
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 03566-11 in this case. Check dimension a 262 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. A preload adjuster carries the full spring load and is built as a structural part. Its length matches the shaft it runs in, which is why the numbers are paired.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
