DescriptionThe whole story▼
Adjuster shaft 224.5/4.3, Öhlins part number 03566-19. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal.
Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Öhlins part number 03566-19
- Dimension B 4.3 mm
- Dimension A 224.5 mm
Where It Sits
Öhlins gives it as 224.5 mm, 4.3 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. A bent adjuster shaft binds and the clicks become uneven. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything.
Why the Original
An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.
Identifying the Right Part
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 03566-19. dimension a 224.5 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A preload adjuster carries the full spring load and is built as a structural part. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar.
Fitting and Setup Service
If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.
