- Dimension A 167.6 mm
- Öhlins part number 03566-07
Function
This one measures 167.6 mm, 4.3 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Öhlins specifies a defined number of clicks per adjuster so a setting is a number, not an impression. An adjuster that turns without resistance has lost its detent; the setting is then guesswork. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal.
Original Öhlins Part
Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation.
Identifying the Right Part
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 03566-07 in this case. The published dimensions are dimension a 167.6 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed and pressurised; they are replaced as a unit.
Fitting and Setup Service
Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.
