Adjuster shaft 150.8/4.3, Öhlins part number 00566-01. The adjuster is the part a rider actually touches, and its detents are what make a setting repeatable.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 00566-01
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension A 150.8 mm
- Dimension B 4.3 mm
Function
This one measures 150.8 mm, 4.3 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. Electronically controlled adjusters replace the needle with a solenoid but keep the same hydraulics. The adjuster is the part a rider actually touches, and its detents are what make a setting repeatable.
Original Öhlins Part
The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation.
How to Be Sure It Fits
00566-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. dimension a 150.8 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Its length matches the shaft it runs in, which is why the numbers are paired. The adjuster is the part a rider actually touches, and its detents are what make a setting repeatable.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
