DescriptionThe whole story▼
A LEONCINO 500 has no bodywork to sacrifice, so the hit goes straight to the hard parts. LighTech's STEBN201 is built around that idea: aluminium ring, magnesium bush, TPE damper at 60 Shore. LighTech supplies it for the LEONCINO 500 complete, so no separate hardware order is needed.
Key Features
- Designed around the LEONCINO 500 specifically rather than adapted from another model
- Pins and spacers for the LEONCINO 500 frame bosses are in the STEBN201 box
- What the STEBN201 absorbs never reaches the LEONCINO 500 frame at all
- Metric hardware throughout the STEBN201, so a LEONCINO 500 workshop needs nothing special
- Bolts to the standard LEONCINO 500 fixing points — no drilling, no adapter plates
- No type-approval paperwork supplied with the STEBN201 — see the approval note below
- Magnesium base keeps the overhung mass off the LEONCINO 500 frame boss
How It Is Built
The outer ring of the STEBN201 is aluminium, hard enough to drag across asphalt without tearing. Behind it, a magnesium bush and a magnesium base keep weight off the LEONCINO 500 frame mount. A solid protector transmits everything it receives; this one is built not to.
Hard Is Not the Same as Protective
A solid protector does one job well: it keeps bodywork off the ground. A damper at 60 Shore is firm enough to hold its shape and soft enough to flatten. The nylon shell scuffs first on the LEONCINO 500 and costs least of the three materials to renew.
Compatibility and Installation
The STEBN201 is catalogued by LighTech for the Benelli LEONCINO 500 and nothing else in this listing. Torque the fasteners to the LEONCINO 500 workshop figures and re-check them after the first ride.
Fitting
The STEBN201 goes onto the LEONCINO 500 with the bike on a stand and nothing dismantled. Re-check the fastener torque after the first ride, as with any part that hangs off the LEONCINO 500 frame. The STEBN201 is supplied in Black only, so there is no variant to choose for the LEONCINO 500.
What Is in the Box
LighTech supplies the STEBN201 as a pair with its mounting hardware for the LEONCINO 500. A worn STEBN201 is renewed at the element, not at the kit.
Type Approval
We list the STEBN201 without an approval claim because LighTech supplies none. The decision on a road-legal LEONCINO 500 belongs to your inspection body. For a track-only LEONCINO 500 there is nothing to clarify.
