DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Brutale 675 shows everything, including the plastic reservoir the factory fitted. The LighTech OBT001 is a 31 cm³ reservoir with a billet aluminium outer shell and a translucent plastic liner. Anodising runs to 2 colours on the OBT001. Nothing on the Brutale 675 is cut or drilled to fit it.
Key Features
- Nothing on the Brutale 675 is drilled, cut or permanently altered
- Supplied with a rubber gasket that seals the cap against leaks
- It is the cheapest visible change on a Brutale 675
- 31 cm³ capacity — the figure to check against your Brutale 675 master cylinder
- Colour is the only choice to make on the OBT001
- 106 g on the Brutale 675
Application
LighTech lists the OBT001 for the MV Agusta Brutale 675. This is not a model-specific casting — LighTech makes one reservoir and lets the mounting decide the fit.
In the Workshop
The OBT001 replaces an existing part on the Brutale 675 rather than adding one. Catch the fluid, swap the reservoir, refit the hose and bleed the system before the Brutale 675 moves. Everything removed from the Brutale 675 can go straight back on.
What a Visible Reservoir Buys You
The original reservoir on a Brutale 675 is opaque, and opaque hides exactly what matters. Billet outside for strength and finish, plastic inside for visibility — that is the whole idea of the OBT001. On the Brutale 675 the reservoir replaces the original box and nothing else has to move.
The Second Part Number
The OBT001 is supplied without a bracket. Mounting hardware is a separate line: OBT008 forward, OBT009 rearward, OBT003 as the general support. Ask us before ordering and we will match the bracket to your Brutale 675.
Care and Checks
Fluid darkens as it absorbs water — on the Brutale 675 that is now visible without tools. Beyond that the OBT001 asks nothing of you.
Scope of Delivery
One reservoir per box, with its sealing gasket. Spares are listed under their own numbers rather than bundled.
Road Use and Approval
Anything in the hydraulic circuit of a Brutale 675 is safety-relevant by definition. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT001 and we do not present it as approved. If the Brutale 675 is used on public roads, treat this as a brake-system modification: inspection body first, workshop check after.
