DescriptionThe whole story▼
The F3-specific throttle housing for the 675, machined from Ergal 7075 with a short-stroke cam.
Key Features
- MV Agusta F3 675 (2012–2020)
- Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
- Short-stroke throttle cam
- Black anodised
- Specific to the F3 platform
- Uses the original throttle cables
Built for One Platform
JetPrime lists a universal MV housing and this F3-specific version. The dedicated one is shaped for the supersport chassis and its cable routing rather than accommodating the whole range, which produces a tidier installation on the bike it is made for.
A Counter-Rotating Crank
The F3's crankshaft turns against the wheels, cancelling part of their gyroscopic effect. MV was first to production with the idea, and it is why the bike falls into corners in a way that takes riders a few laps to trust.
The Cable Run on a Supersport
Clip-ons below the yoke leave very little room between the bar and the fairing for cables to turn. A housing designed around that geometry routes them more cleanly than a universal body can, which matters at full lock in a paddock.
Corner Speed
A 675 triple is carried through a bend rather than driven out of it, which puts a premium on smooth application. A shorter cam gives more resolution over the part of the range that decides the exit.
Original Cables
The conversion is mechanical and uses the motorcycle's own cables. Nothing electrical is touched, which on an early F3 is a genuine consideration rather than a formality.
Nine Model Years
The F3 675 ran from 2012 to 2020 with steady development, particularly of the electronics. Late examples are reliable as well as remarkable, and they are the ones now worth preparing properly.
Dedicated Rather Than Universal
The F3-specific body is profiled for the supersport chassis instead of accommodating MV's whole range. Where the general-purpose housing fits acceptably, this one fits properly, and behind an F3 fairing that distinction is measurable in millimetres of clearance.
