For the 2007 to 2016 ZX-6R, the JP PD KA064 replaces the right-hand switch with a body milled from Ergal 7075 on a universal clamp pattern.

A Decade of One Design
Kawasaki ran this generation of ZX-6R with only detail changes from 2007 to 2016, moving between 599 cc and 636 cc along the way. Ten model years on one architecture makes it one of the most numerous middleweights in Europe, and one of the best supported.
Where These Bikes Are Now
Almost entirely on circuits. Supersport machines of this age are too old to be attractive as road bikes and exactly right as track weapons: quick, cheap to replace, and surrounded by an aftermarket that has had fifteen years to develop.
Switchgear That Has Earned Replacement
The oldest examples are approaching twenty years old. The plastic housing hardens, the clip joint works apart and the buttons across it feel spongy. Kawasaki does not sell the individual contacts, so replacing the assembly is the only route back to a definite action.
Either Bolt Geometry
A bike of this age and purpose has very often had its master cylinder changed at least once, and there is no reliable way to know which geometry a used machine arrived with. The universal plate removes that as a question.
Black or Titanium
Two finishes. On a track-prepared 636 wearing race bodywork, black is the usual choice, on the reasoning that the cockpit should give the eye nothing to catch at the wrong moment.
Ten Years, Two Displacements
Kawasaki alternated between 599 cc and 636 cc across this generation depending on the market and the year. The switch is unaffected by that, but it is worth knowing when buying other parts for the same motorcycle, because the engine numbers differ where the chassis does not.
