DescriptionThe whole story

The JP ES 007 sits in the Hyperstrada 821's own connector in place of the secondary air valve, and it is the reason the panel stays dark once the hardware is gone.

Key Features

  • Ducati Hyperstrada 821 (2013–2016)
  • Takes the secondary air solenoid out of the circuit
  • No warning on the instrument panel
  • Plugs into Ducati's own connector
  • Nothing cut, nothing spliced
  • Standard valve refits at any time

The Touring Hypermotard

Panniers, a screen and a longer seat on the 821 platform. It is a genuinely practical motorcycle wearing supermoto clothes and it never sold well.

Why Ducati Fits It

Because a drive cycle measures what leaves the silencer rather than what happens inside the engine, and burning the residue afterwards is the cheapest way to reach the figure.

Reversible

The standard valve refits on its own connector whenever it needs to, with nothing consumed by the conversion in either direction.

Test It Cold

The system is most active during warm-up, so a cold start and a short ride is the honest check that the change has done what it should.

Keep the Wiring Tidy

The eliminator needs supporting rather than dangling on its connector. Anything left swinging under bodywork eventually finds something to rub against.

Two Parts, Two Prices

Ducati's arrangement splits neatly, so an owner can address the fault now and the mechanical side later. Buying the kit is cheaper than buying both.

The Cheapest Part of the Build

It costs a fraction of a racing exhaust and cures the thing most owners bought the exhaust hoping to change. That is worth saying before the larger sum is spent.

Keeping the Motorcycle Reversible

Nothing is cut, soldered, drilled or bent. The standard solenoid refits on its own two fasteners with its own connector, and the whole reversal takes about as long as the original fitting did. That property is what makes the difference at an emissions inspection, at a warranty conversation, and in front of a buyer who knows what to look for under the tank.

What the Valve Actually Sounds Like

On a cold start it clicks softly under the tank as the controller opens and closes it, and a valve that has started to stick sometimes buzzes instead. Riders who have heard that noise for years generally notice its absence long before they notice anything else about the deletion.
