Two Hundred and Twenty-Four Kilograms
Wet, which is substantial and carried low. The T120 feels considerably lighter than it is once moving.
The Bonneville Name
Triumph has used it since 1959 and has never let it drift far from what it means. Every modern version answers to the original in some way.
The Tank Still Breathes
Fuel drawn out has to be replaced by air coming in, so the kit supplies a proper vent fitting rather than leaving a hose to find its own way.

Storage Between Seasons
A bike laid up with a full tank works the evaporative system hard for months without ever running the engine to clear it.
An Ageing Assembly
On a motorcycle past a decade the hoses have hardened, the clips have corroded and the charcoal has stopped absorbing. Removing the group is as much housekeeping as modification.
Both Halves in One Evening
Mechanical removal and electrical answer belong in the same session, because both need the same bodywork off and neither is complete without the other.
Ethanol Shortens the Life
Modern blends are harder on activated charcoal than the fuel the system was designed around, which is why canisters on bikes from the last decade give up sooner than their designers expected.
Keep the Purge Valve
It refits with the vessel and it is the part a dealer will look for. Storing it with the rest costs nothing.
Chrome Done Properly
Triumph spends real money on the finish of the modern classics, and the T120 in particular is assembled with a level of visible detail that considerably more expensive motorcycles do not manage. It is most of what buyers are actually paying for.
