DescriptionThe whole story▼
The lower left fairing panel covers the flank of the engine from the radiator back to the swingarm pivot. It is the panel that meets the ground first in a low-side and the one a paddock stand leans against, which on a machine used the way an M1000RR is used makes it a consumable.
Key Features
- Lower fairing side panel, left, direct replacement
- 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt or raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate over a long panel with a deep return along the bottom
- Original mounting points, fasteners and quick-release fixings
- Sold individually, as crash damage is almost always one-sided
Plan for Replacing It
Nobody keeps a lower fairing panel on a racing machine for five seasons. It will be scraped, and at some point it will be replaced, and the sensible approach is to price that in rather than to be disappointed by it.
That is the argument for raw on a track bike: it costs least, there is no lacquer to chip when the panel is put down on concrete, and a replacement bought two years later matches without any lacquer-depth lottery.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 and 2024, left-hand side. The matching right panel is a separate article. It does not fit the S1000RR of the same years or the 2025 M.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as replacement bodywork and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Quick-Release Fixings Do Not Forgive
Racing bodywork uses quarter-turn fasteners so that it comes off in seconds, and the load from those fasteners is concentrated on a small area of laminate. A panel with thin material around the fixing points will crack there long before it cracks anywhere else.
Use the original grommets and washers, and replace them when they harden. A ten-cent rubber part is what stands between a quarter-turn fastener and an expensive panel.
