DescriptionThe whole story▼
Engineered for riders who demand race-bred steering precision from their Yamaha YZF-R1 or YZF-R1M, the Bonamici Racing PSY1 top yoke is a direct-fitment, high-strength aluminium replacement that sharpens front-end feel and chassis stability across the RN32, RN49 and RN65 generations (2015-2026). Produced entirely in Italy to exacting tolerances, it brings genuine track-derived geometry refinement to road use without compromising street legality.
Key Features
- High-strength aluminium construction delivers a significant reduction in flex compared to the OEM yoke, translating directly into more precise, confidence-inspiring steering on both road and track.
- Street-spec design retains the key-block lock plate provision, meaning the unit bolts straight on without any modification to the ignition or steering lock mechanism.
- Available in anodised black or anodised silver — both finishes are durable, corrosion-resistant and complement the aggressive lines of the YZF-R1/M.
- 100% Made in Italy under Bonamici Racing's race-proven manufacturing standards, ensuring consistent quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Bolt-on installation with no frame or fork modification required — a straightforward upgrade for any experienced home mechanic or race team.
Performance on Track and Road
The PSY1 top yoke is the starting point for dialling in front-end geometry on the YZF-R1 platform. Where the OEM component prioritises mass production tolerances, the Bonamici Racing unit is machined to tighter specs, reducing unwanted flex at the fork crown. The result is a more direct line of communication between the tyre contact patch and the rider's hands — critical when chasing lap times or navigating fast, technical road sections at speed. The street variant retains full compatibility with the standard key-block steering plate, so daily road use is entirely unaffected.
Build Quality
Bonamici Racing machines the PSY1 from high-tensile aluminium billet, then hard anodises each piece in-house. The anodising is not merely cosmetic — it creates a surface that resists scratches, corrosive road chemicals and track debris far better than a painted or uncoated surface. Every unit leaves the Bonamici facility in Italy subject to the same dimensional checks applied to their full race-spec components.
Fitment & Compatibility
This top yoke is designed exclusively for the following motorcycles:
- Yamaha YZF-R1 — RN32 (2015-2016), RN49 (2017-2019), RN65 (2020-2026)
- Yamaha YZF-R1M — RN32 (2015-2016), RN49 (2017-2019), RN65 (2020-2026)
