DescriptionThe whole story▼
Anyone who runs a bike at closed events ends up with a shelf of spares, and a set of front pads is near the front of it. Accossato offers the AGPA112 plate in a ZXC ceramic racing compound for the Benelli BN600 GT of 2014 and 2015, which makes it a sensible thing to carry for a four-cylinder tourer that now spends its weekends on circuits. Pads are one of the few components a rider can change in the paddock between sessions.
Key Features
- AGPA112ZXC: front pads for the Benelli BN600 GT in a ceramic racing compound
- Covers the model years 2014 and 2015
- A ceramic compound Accossato puts forward for racing
- Easy to carry as a spare set for track weekends
- Two pads per box, which fills one caliper
- The same plate is produced in the OR, ST, EV1 and EV2 materials
- AGPA42 serves the rear wheel of this machine
- No German ABE available; for competition and track days
Construction and Material Quality
A ceramic compound put forward for racing is the whole of the published description, and it is not our place to extend it with numbers that have never been issued. What we can describe is the article itself. It uses the AGPA112 carrier, so it enters the caliper like every other version, and it arrives as two pads in a box, the quantity for one caliper. The distinction between this and its siblings is entirely a matter of the friction layer and of what the rider intends to do with the bike.
A Spare Set in the Van
Saturday morning in a paddock has a rhythm to it. Bikes come off trailers, someone finds the torque wrench, someone else discovers that the pads fitted at the end of last season are thinner than remembered. Having a boxed set to hand turns that discovery into twenty minutes of work instead of a lost day, and a spare set weighs almost nothing in a van already full of tyres and fuel cans.
Fitting them properly is the other half. Take the caliper off cleanly, wipe the pistons before pushing them back rather than forcing them through dirt, check that the disc is unmarked and free of grease, and refit with both sides of the wheel carrying fresh material. Pump the lever until it is hard before the BN600 GT is wheeled to the assembly area, then use the first outing to bed the pads in with firm but progressive stops rather than going straight to a maximum effort.
Fitment and Compatibility
The years Accossato gives for this fitment are 2014 and 2015, the complete run it records for the BN 600 GT, and this pad shape sits at the front wheel. A box per caliper is the rule, and a look at the bike tells you how many that is. Elsewhere on the same machine the catalogue lists the AGPA42 rear pad and the DKS032 disc, while the front plate is also produced in four materials meant for the road and for gentler track work.
Road Approval
There is no ABE for this pad in our records, nor any test documentation. It is supplied for competition and for riding on closed circuits, and we make no claim beyond that.
Scope of Delivery
