DescriptionThe whole story▼
Trail riding on a Yamaha YZ250 in wet weather puts a lot of work on the rear brake, especially on slippery descents and muddy corners. For the YZ250 from 2003 to 2026, Accossato offers the rear pad AGPP106 in the Sintered compound, SKU AGPP106ST. It is aimed at riders who use their two-stroke on trails and tracks in all seasons and want a rear pedal that feels the same when the disc is cold, hot, wet or dry.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) rear pad, SKU AGPP106ST
- Yamaha YZ250, 2003 to 2026
- Accossato: high grip, constant from cold to hot
- Accossato: good grip in the wet
- For wet descents and muddy corners
- One set for the rear caliper
- Front pads AGPA110 and AGPA288, discs DK111 and DK168 listed
Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato promises for its Sintered pads is grip that sits high and does not wander between a frozen morning and a hot afternoon, plus a good bite when the disc is soaked. A YZ250 that comes home plastered in wet earth every other weekend is exactly where that matters at the back wheel. The Turin-area maker lists long pad life and resistance to fade among the general traits of its range; the formulation itself is not something we go into.
Slippery Descents
On a wet, steep descent, many riders rely on the rear brake to control speed while keeping the front wheel free to steer. That only works if the rear pedal is predictable. A Sintered rear pad on the YZ250 keeps its feel as water and mud reach the disc and as the brake warms up on a long downhill. It suits trail riders and club riders who ride whatever the weather. For dry, relaxed riding, OR is gentler; for race days in deep mud, STMX. It is also a good fit for riders who travel to events in different regions and never know what ground they will find when they unload.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the rear wheel of the Yamaha YZ250, Accossato names AGPP106 from 2003 to 2026, here in Sintered form. One box fits the rear caliper. The YZ250's front brake takes AGPA110 for 2008 to 2021 or AGPA288 for 2021 to 2026, and the discs DK111 and DK168 are listed as well. After wet rides, rinse the rear caliper, let it dry and check the pad thickness, and replace the rear brake fluid if it looks dark.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or test certificate for this rear pad and sell it for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
