DescriptionThe whole story▼

Riding a Triumph Street Cup through a wet winter or loading it for a weekend away puts the rear brake to work in ways that dry town riding does not. On damp roads many riders lean on the pedal more to keep the front from being overloaded. This is the Accossato AGPA76 rear pad in the Sintered (ST) compound, catalogued for the Street Cup from 2017 to 2020, for owners who want the rear to behave the same in rain and cold as on a warm day.

Key Features

  • AGPA76 rear pads for the Triumph Street Cup 2017 to 2020
  • Sintered (ST) compound, article AGPA76ST
  • For wet roads, winter commuting and touring with luggage
  • Accossato cites constant grip at high and low temperatures
  • Good wet-weather bite according to the maker
  • One set of two pads for the single rear caliper
  • Offered for competition use, no German ABE on file

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes the ST material as keeping a high, even level of grip whether it is hot or cold, and as working well on a wet disc. For a rear brake that may sit in spray for hours on a winter commute, that consistency is the main reason to choose it. The sintered friction layer is mounted on the AGPA76 plate that Accossato uses for this rear caliper. The company adds long life, fade resistance and strong braking to the list of qualities it aims for.

Loaded Up for the Weekend

Add a pillion or a pair of soft bags and the Street Cup's weight shifts rearward, which makes the rear brake more useful on descents and in slow hairpins. A compound that keeps its feel as it warms up helps there. After a trip through rain, rinse road grime from the caliper, inspect the pad surfaces for glazing or uneven wear, and look at the fluid colour in the rear reservoir. Replace both pads together and give them a handful of moderate stops before relying on them with full load.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA76 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the Triumph Street Cup, named Street 900 Cup, from 2017 to 2020. The front AGPA72 listing extends to 2021, so check a 2021 bike's rear caliper before ordering. One box fits the single rear caliper. The DK203 disc is also listed for this model, and the rear shape is offered as OR as an alternative.

Road Approval

Test documentation or a German ABE has not been made available to us for this product. It is therefore sold for track and racing use.
