DescriptionThe whole story▼

Wet cobblestones, shiny tram lines and painted road markings: a rainy city is full of surfaces that punish a clumsy brake. On a Honda CMX 500 Rebel, many riders rely on the rear brake to slow gently over such spots. Accossato's AGPP185 rear pad in the Sintered (ST) compound is made for riders who meet these conditions all year. Its grip holds steady cold or hot and stays dependable on a wet disc. It is listed for the Rebel 500 from 2017 to 2025, including the S edition of 2020.

Key Features

  • Sintered rear brake pads for the Honda CMX 500 Rebel, 2017 to 2025
  • Accossato AGPP185 in the Sintered (ST) compound, article AGPP185ST
  • Covers the Rebel 500 S edition of 2020 as well
  • Consistent bite on a wet disc
  • Grip level that holds from cold to hot
  • Two pads per box, one rear caliper set
  • No German ABE available; supplied for track and competition

Construction and Material Quality

The sintered ST material, Accossato explains, keeps a high and constant level of grip at low and high temperatures and performs well in the wet. Its dense structure resists the water, grime and salt thrown onto a rear brake, wears slowly and keeps its bite under long use. The company, which has its roots in Enduro racing and won a world title in 1985, offers this pad for a wide range of bikes.

Wet Cobbles and Tram Lines

In the city rain, the Rebel 500's low weight and upright posture are an advantage, but grip can vanish without warning. Cross tram lines as close to a right angle as you can, keep the bike upright over painted markings and do your braking before you reach them, not on them. A gentle rear brake applied early helps the bike slow without loading the front tyre on a slippery patch. The sintered lining responds to that light touch even when the disc is soaked. After wet rides, dry the rear brake and chain area and look for corrosion on the caliper. When changing pads, clean the pistons thoroughly, as road grime collects quickly on a city bike.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the Honda CMX 500 Rebel of 2017 to 2025, with the S edition of 2020, Accossato lists the AGPP185 at the rear and the AGPA81 at the front. The AGPP185 also comes as Organic (OR). Compare your old pads with the picture before ordering.

Road Approval

Since no ABE or approval document has been provided to us for the AGPP185ST, we sell it for motorsport and closed circuits.
