DescriptionThe whole story▼

A bike used all year meets the worst of the road in December. Dark at both ends of the day, a wet junction with painted arrows, salt on the surface and a disc that never really dries between one set of lights and the next. For the CFMOTO NK 450 of 2024 to 2026 Accossato presses the AGPA96 plate in its Sintered compound, article AGPA96ST, and describes it as keeping a high and steady level of grip whether the parts are cold or hot, with wet conditions expressly included.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the CFMOTO NK 450, model years 2024 to 2026
  • AGPA96ST: the AGPA96 plate in the Sintered compound
  • Accossato describes steady grip at both ends of the temperature range, and in the wet
  • For riders who keep the NK 450 on the road through the winter
  • Each box holds the pair one caliper takes
  • Check the number of calipers on the front wheel before ordering
  • OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC are the alternatives on this plate
  • Rear wheel: AGPP181 for the same years; no German ABE is held

Construction and Material Quality

What Accossato says about the ST material is short and useful. The grip level stays high and it stays the same, at low temperature as well as high, and water does not take it away. On a light naked machine the first pull of the morning is the one that matters, because an NK 450 is often ridden out of a parking space straight into traffic with everything cold. A compound that does not ask to be warmed before it answers takes one variable out of a rider's first ten minutes.

Dark Mornings and a Wet Junction

Winter commuting is a series of small decisions made with limited information. The surface at a junction may be wet, greasy or frozen, and the rider judges it from a shine under a street lamp. Slowing early and gently is the usual answer, which means the brake is used more often and for longer on each occasion, in conditions where spray is cooling the disc the whole time. A material that treats wet running as normal lets the rider concentrate on the traffic instead of on the first squeeze.

Winter attacks everything it touches. Rinse the front of the NK 450 when the salt has been heavy, look into the caliper while the wheel is clean, and check that neither pad is sitting at an angle. The fluid deserves a look at the same time. Wipe each piston before pressing it back so grit does not travel past the seal, and bed a new set in on a dry afternoon with firm repeated stops, rather than discovering its manners at a wet junction on the Monday.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA96 is listed for the NK 450 across 2024, 2025 and 2026. Other CFMOTO models use other article numbers, so the fitment should be confirmed against the machine and not against the badge. A caliper takes the pair in one box, which makes the front wheel the whole of the calculation. Both sides of the axle are renewed at once so the lever finds equal material everywhere. The AGPP181 serves the rear wheel of this bike across the same three seasons, and no Accossato disc is offered for the NK 450.

Road Approval

Test papers for the AGPA96ST have not reached us and no German ABE exists, so the pads are catalogued as competition parts rather than as equipment for public roads.

Scope of Delivery

A single box, two AGPA96 pads in the Sintered compound, together one caliper's set.
