DescriptionThe whole story▼

Like its off-road-biased sibling the XCX, the XRX was offered in 2016 with a second, LOW-seat version alongside the standard bike, extending the choice of seat height to the road-oriented side of the Tiger Explorer range as well. Accossato lists the AGS118 for the Tiger Explorer XRX across 2016 to 2017, a silver clutch lever in the original form.

Key Features

  • Clutch lever in the original form for the Triumph Tiger Explorer XRX
  • Accossato's entry covers 2016 to 2017, including the LOW version in 2016
  • Silver
  • Left-hand side, hydraulic clutch
  • An original spare parts type rather than a tuning component
  • Accossato states that its manufacturing process improves resistance after damage
  • A single lever per pack
  • No test documents held; listed for racing and competition

Construction and Material Quality

Whether the seat is at standard height or the lower LOW specification, the AGS118 stays the same part, one of Accossato's original spare parts types priced for an ordinary repair, taking the outline of the clutch lever fitted to the Tiger Explorer XRX either way. The maker's claim of better resistance after a fall is stated without a figure, a material or a measurement, and none is supplied here. Silver is the colour given for this fitment.

The Other Low-Seat Option

Where the XCX offered a reduced seat height on the off-road-leaning side of the range, the XRX did the same for the road-biased version, which meant a shorter rider who preferred the on-road character of the XR trim was no longer forced to choose between comfort at a standstill and the specification they actually wanted. Accossato's list covers this exactly as it does the XCX: one clutch lever code for both seat heights, since the control itself sits in the same place on the bar regardless of how far the seat is from the ground. Anyone buying a used XRX without clear documentation of which version it is can therefore order the correct lever with confidence, since the LOW designation affects the seat and the suspension, not the clutch control.

Fitment and Compatibility

Like the XCX, the XRX's LOW and standard versions both take the same AGS118 regardless of seat height, with no original-type brake lever or CNC lever listed for this variant. The clutch code also covers the rest of the Explorer family and, beyond Triumph, the Yamaha XT1200ZE Super Ténéré.

Road Approval

No German ABE and no test mark can be shown for the AGS118, since no approval documents were supplied, and the lever is listed for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
