DescriptionThe whole story▼
By the second moto of the day the left forearm has usually had enough, and it is in that fatigued state, not in the fresh laps of moto one, that a clutch lever's condition starts to matter most on an MX 250 2T. A pivot that drags or a lever that has lost its true shape costs very little when the arm is fresh and a great deal once it is not. Accossato lists the AGS14 for the MX 250 2T across 2015 to 2018, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the TM Racing MX 250 2T
- Accossato's entry covers 2015 to 2018
- Silver
- Left-hand side, hydraulic clutch
- One of Accossato's original spare parts types
- According to the manufacturer, the production method raises resistance after a fall
- A single lever per pack
- No German ABE and no test mark; racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato lists the AGS14 under its original spare parts types, aimed at an affordable repair for a bike raced most weekends. The lever's shape matches the clutch control the MX 250 2T carries as standard, so the reach a rider has trained stays the same between motos. The manufacturer states that the production method behind these levers improves their resistance after a fall, without naming a material or a dimension, and this description supplies none. Silver is the listed colour here.
Second Moto, Tired Arm
Grip and forearm strength fall away over the course of a long day of racing faster than most riders notice until the second moto is already underway, and a control that takes slightly more effort than it should becomes disproportionately harder to use as that fatigue sets in. A clutch lever with a dry or gritty pivot asks for more force on every pull, which a fresh rider absorbs without comment and a tired one starts to feel in the form of a slower, less precise release through each corner. Checking the lever between motos costs a minute: pull it through its full travel by hand with the engine off, feel for roughness, and clean and grease the pivot if there is any. On a day with more than one race, that minute in the pits is paid back many times over by the second moto.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS14 for the MX 250 2T's clutch from 2015 to 2018; the brake side for 2017 is covered by two identical codes, the AGD275 and the AGD278. The clutch lever is shared with the Beta RR 390 4T and with several Husqvarna models built on related platforms, among them the FC 250, the FE 350 and the FS 450. The CNC-lever route for a tuning part is the B8206 and C7283.
Road Approval
Because no approval documentation was provided for the AGS14, there is no German ABE and no test mark to quote, and the lever is offered for racing and competition use.
