DescriptionThe whole story▼
A 125 bought on a restricted licence is often somebody's very first motorcycle, and a very first motorcycle is statistically the one most likely to be dropped while its rider is still learning where the biting point on the clutch sits or how far to lean the bike over in a tight turn. Accossato lists the AGD76 for the MT-125 across 2014 to 2015, a silver front brake lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Front brake lever in the original form for the Yamaha MT-125
- Accossato's entry covers 2014 to 2015
- Silver
- Right-hand side of the handlebar
- An original spare parts type, developed for good value for money
- Accossato states that its manufacturing process improves resistance after damage
- One lever per pack
- No German ABE, no test mark; listed for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
The AGD76 is priced the way every part in Accossato's original spare parts range is priced, for the cost of a repair a learner's bike is especially likely to need, and it is shaped to match the brake lever the MT-125 came with. A claim of improved resistance after a fall accompanies the part, without a figure, a material or a weight attached, and none is added here. Silver is the colour specified for this fitment.
A Common First Motorcycle
Learner-legal 125s see a disproportionate number of low-speed drops compared with bigger bikes, simply because so many of their riders are still building basic skills: finding neutral at a standstill, feathering a clutch they have never used before, or misjudging how far a bike leans before gravity takes over. None of that reflects badly on the MT-125 itself, which is a popular and capable first bike, but it does mean the front brake lever on one of these machines often earns its keep faster than it would on a bike bought by a more experienced rider. Checking the lever against a straight edge after any tip-over, rather than assuming a slow-speed drop did no harm, is a habit worth building from the very first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGD76 for the MT-125 from 2014 to 2015, matched on the clutch side by the AGS276 for the same years. Neither code is shared with any other motorcycle in our catalogue; both are specific to this model. Accossato's CNC lever for this fitment is the ESR15L.
Road Approval
No approval documents were supplied with the AGD76, so no German ABE can be quoted, and the lever is listed for racing and competition use.
