DescriptionThe whole story▼
The current SV650 is one of the more common sights outside a city office on a weekday morning, ridden by someone who ordinarily drives a car and bought the V-twin for the two or three days a week when the roads are worth the detour. That use pattern also means it is a bike regularly parked in tight bays, shuffled between cars, and occasionally dropped doing it. Accossato lists the AGD262 for the SV650 from 2017 to 2024, a silver brake lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato places the AGD262 among its original spare parts types, aimed at making a repair cost what a repair should cost. The lever follows the outline of the brake control fitted to the current SV650, so the bike keeps its factory look and the rider's hand keeps its usual reference points. The company reports that the production process behind these levers leaves them more resistant once they have been through damage or a collision. Silver is the listed colour for this fitment. No material or measurement is published, and this text does not supply what Accossato has not.
A Bike That Lives Between Car Park Bays
Plenty of current SV650 owners use the bike as a second vehicle rather than a daily tool, which changes the pattern of damage a lever sees. There are fewer miles than a commuter bike covers and fewer motorway hours, but there are more low-speed manoeuvres per mile: reversing out of a narrow space by hand, walking the bike between a car and a wall, swinging it round in a yard that was never designed for two wheels. Most of these end without incident, but the ones that do not usually put the bike down gently onto the side where the brake lever sits, at a speed too low to hurt anyone and just high enough to bend a blade. A lever that has taken a knock like this can look almost straight and still be out of true, which shows up later as an odd feel rather than an obvious fault, so it is worth checking a lever against a straight edge after any low-speed drop rather than trusting the eye alone. Fitting the replacement is simple on this bike: clean the pivot, grease it lightly, and set the lever's resting angle to suit the rider's hand before the bolt is finally tightened.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGD262 for the SV650 from 2017 to 2024 and separately for the SV650X across 2018 to 2024, both under the same code, with the AGS45 covering the clutch side for the same years. Earlier machines take the AGD03 or the narrower AGD11. The AGD262 also appears in our catalogue for the Suzuki GSR750 and the SFV650 Gladius. Accossato's CNC levers for the SV650 are the EDF014, ESS248 and ESS650, for anyone who wants a tuning part rather than a plain spare.
Road Approval
For the AGD262 no German ABE and no test mark exist in our records, as none was supplied, and the lever is listed for use in racing and competition.
