DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PRS 14x15-16-17 sits at the smaller end of the clutch master cylinder range, pairing a 14 mm piston with a lever pivot that can be set to 15, 16 or 17 mm. It is built for riders who find the pull of a larger piston heavier than they would like and who want the option to fine tune the engagement point themselves. The lever folds for storage, carries a relieving eyelet, and is sold in seven colours with a matching adjusting knob, so the finish can be chosen to suit the rest of the motorcycle.
Key Features
- 14 mm piston diameter, the smallest in the PRS clutch range
- Adjustable lever pivot distance: 15, 16 or 17 mm, suitable for all uses
- Long folding lever with relieving eyelet (RST), available in seven colours
- Adjusting knob finished in the same colour as the lever
- CNC-machined aluminium body with natural anodising
- Offset riser that reduces master cylinder deflection during gear changes
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
Like the rest of the PRS range, this clutch master cylinder is machined in Italy from aluminium billet and finished with natural anodising. The mounting hardware is stainless steel, the bleed valve is zinc-plated steel, and the internal seals are made from Formula 1 compound so they continue to work reliably after repeated exposure to hydraulic clutch fluid and the heat it picks up near the engine. An offset riser sits inside the mounting clamp to cut down on flex while the gearbox is worked hard, and the body is shaped to keep the passive stroke of the lever, the travel that happens before the clutch actually starts to disengage, as short as the design allows.
What the 14 mm Piston Changes
Of the three piston sizes offered in this PRS clutch line, 14 mm is the smallest, and a smaller piston moves less hydraulic fluid for a given amount of lever travel. In practice that keeps the force needed at the lever low, which suits riders with a lighter grip or anyone covering long distances where clutch fatigue matters, though it can mean a touch more lever travel before the clutch is fully disengaged compared with a larger piston. The adjustable pivot then lets that travel be fine tuned at 15, 16 or 17 mm without changing the piston itself, so the balance between light action and a shorter stroke stays in the rider's hands at all times.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato does not publish a specific vehicle list for this clutch master cylinder, and none appears in our fitment data either: it is treated as a universal 14 mm radial clutch pump meant for handlebars with a 22 mm clamp. Confirm that clamp diameter and check that your existing clutch hydraulics are rated for a 14 mm piston before fitting it.
Road Approval
This clutch master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are fitted to the unit. The brake light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
