DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Accossato PRS 16x17-18-19 brake master cylinder takes the single-disc 16 mm piston and adds a lever pivot that can be moved between three positions, 17, 18 or 19 mm, without changing any parts. It is built for riders on single-disc adventure, roadster and sport-touring bikes who want to tune lever feel between a relaxed road setting and a sharper one for a track day, rather than being locked to one fixed figure. The long folding lever, with a relieving eyelet, comes in seven colours on a black anodised, CNC-machined body made in Italy.

Key Features

  • 16 mm piston diameter, sized for single-disc front brake systems
  • Three-position adjustable pivot distance: 17, 18 or 19 mm
  • Folding lever, long version, with relieving eyelet (RST)
  • Seven lever colours with a colour-matched adjusting knob
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with black anodised finish
  • Offset riser that limits master cylinder deflection under braking
  • Stainless steel screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
  • Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

This master cylinder's aluminium body is CNC-machined and black anodised in Italy, to the same standard as the rest of Accossato's braking line. Every mounting screw is stainless steel, the bleed valve is galvanised steel, and the seals inside the bore are a Formula 1 compound chosen for its durability against brake fluid and heat cycling. The clamp carries an off-set riser that resists bending under hard lever use, and the internal passages are shaped to shorten the passive stroke, the lever travel before the pads engage, by more than 50 percent next to a conventional radial unit.

Three Pivot Positions on a Single-Disc Bore

The 16 mm piston on this master cylinder is Accossato's single-disc specification, and the three-position pivot, 17, 18 or 19 mm, lets the rider decide how that piston behaves at the lever rather than accepting a single fixed figure. Moving the setting toward 17 mm gives a lighter, more progressive pull suited to everyday road riding, while nudging it to 19 mm sharpens the response for track days without any parts swap. Because the change happens at the lever itself, Accossato classes the whole adjustable range as suitable for all uses, and pairs it here with the long folding lever and relieving eyelet so the mechanism survives a drop as readily as it survives being re-set between rides.

Fitment and Compatibility

54 motorcycles make up the confirmed fitment list for this brake master cylinder, Suzuki's V-Strom and SV650 family represented down to the SV650X, alongside BMW's R NineT Scrambler. Open the Fitment tab on this page for the full set of models and years, and match it to your own registration before you buy.

Road Approval

This brake master cylinder carries no ABE documented for this part number, so it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package contains the Accossato CL030 radial master cylinder complete with the long folding lever with relieving eyelet (RST) and its colour-matched mounting insert, in the colour selected, with the mounting nut already fitted. Stainless steel screws and the galvanised bleed valve are included; the stop light switch and fluid reservoir are sold separately (switch under code ID001 or ID002, reservoir as a standalone item).
