DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's quick throttle control, paired with the GR001 one-tone grip, is offered here for the Kawasaki Ninja 400 (2018–2024) as part number MY002. Grip and cap are anodised across the same eight-colour range, allowing a single-shade build. The two-piece aluminium housing is CNC-machined, and the kit comes with the ZX013 cable set cut for the Ninja 400 plus three internal cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm.
Key Features
- Two-piece CNC-machined aluminium throttle housing
- GR001 one-tone racing grip, eight colours
- Eight anodised cap colour options
- Accossato ZX013 cable set specific to the Kawasaki Ninja 400
- Three interchangeable internal cams (40, 43, 45 mm)
- Adjustable throttle response and rotation stroke
- Made in Italy, checked before being placed on the market
Construction and Material Quality
The housing is machined in two halves from aluminium and anodised in one of eight cap colours; the single-tone GR001 grip shares that same palette, so the whole control can be specified in one shade if that is what the build calls for. Inside, three cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm are included as standard, and these set the throttle's pick-up independently of the colours chosen for grip or cap, with no extra part to source once the kit is fitted.
A First Quick Throttle for a Smaller Bike
The Ninja 400 is a common first bike for riders moving onto a licence that allows it, and for many of them this kit is also a first experience of fitting an aftermarket throttle control rather than relying on the stock part. The three supplied cams give room to start cautiously on the 45 mm setting for a longer, gentler stroke and move to the 40 mm once the bike's smaller displacement and lighter weight feel familiar, without buying a second cam separately. The eight-colour range on both grip and cap also lets a learner-friendly bike look less obviously entry-level if that matters to the rider.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this kit, with the ZX013 cable set, for the Kawasaki Ninja 400 (2018–2024); exact production years are shown in the Fitment tab on this page. The ZX013 cables are specific to the Ninja 400 and are not shared with the cable sets used on Kawasaki's larger ZX-6R or ZX-10 R models, so a part bought for one of those bikes will not fit here.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the MY002; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. As with any throttle control, make sure the grip returns on its own to the idle position once fitted.
