DescriptionThe whole story▼

The rear brake of the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3 gets plenty of gentle use in daily riding: slowing for junctions, steadying the bike at walking pace, holding it on a slope. For that caliper, Accossato offers the AGPA29 pad in the Organic (OR) compound. It suits commuters and relaxed riders who want a smooth, quiet rear brake and a disc that lasts. Accossato describes the organic material as giving longer performance and limiting disc wear.

Key Features

  • Rear brake pads for the Zero DS, 2024
  • Listed for the DS ZF17.3
  • AGPA29 shape in the Organic (OR) compound, item AGPA29OR
  • Durable performance and low disc wear, per Accossato
  • Smooth and quiet for slow, everyday riding
  • Two pads per box for the rear caliper
  • No German ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's organic material in the AGPA29 is made to last and to spare the rotor. At the rear of an electric dual-sport used every day, that combination keeps maintenance low. The pads also limit heat build-up, reducing fade. The AGPA29 is also catalogued in ST, STMX and EV1. The box contains two pads, one set for the caliper.

Low-Speed Manoeuvres

Without a clutch, an electric motorcycle is controlled at walking pace with throttle and rear brake alone. Many riders keep a light foot on the rear brake while turning tightly or moving through a car park, which gives smooth, stable control. An organic pad that responds progressively makes this easy. For wet-weather riding or trail use, the other versions of the AGPA29 may be more suitable.

Changing Rear Pads

Clean the caliper and pistons, check the rear disc for wear, and push the pistons back gently. Check the fluid, pump the pedal until firm after fitting and bed in the pads with a few slow stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA29 for the rear of the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3. The 2014 to 2017 DS uses the AGPP91 at the rear. At the front, the 2024 model takes the AGPA96 and the 2015 to 2017 models the AGPA92. No Accossato pads are listed in our data for 2018 to 2023.

Road Approval

There are no approval documents or German ABE for this pad in our possession, so it is supplied for track and competition riding.

Scope of Delivery

One box with two organic rear pads for the rear caliper of the Zero DS.
