DescriptionThe whole story▼

Most of the time, the rear brake on a Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally works in the background: it holds the bike at a junction, calms it through a slow bend and helps at walking pace. Accossato's AGPP88OR is the rear pad for the Street Rally from 2014 to 2016 in the Organic (OR) compound. It suits owners who ride calmly, use the rear pedal gently and would like the rear disc to last as long as possible.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally, 2014 to 2016
  • Article AGPP88OR, organic compound on the AGPP88 plate
  • Accossato: lasting performance and reduced disc wear
  • For calm riding and gentle use of the rear brake
  • Two pads per box, the full set for the rear caliper
  • Rear plate also available in ST
  • Front pad for the Street Rally: AGPA97
  • No German ABE on record; offered for track and competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato offers the AGPP88 rear plate in two compounds, and this box holds the organic version. The company describes it as offering lasting performance and limiting disc wear. For an older Street Rally, where keeping the original rear disc in good shape is useful, that is a practical choice.

Rear Brake Check on an Older Bike

On a Street Rally that is about a decade old, a pad change is a good moment to check the whole rear brake. Look at the hose for cracks, make sure the caliper slides or floats freely as designed, and check that the piston moves smoothly without corrosion. The pedal pivot should be clean and lightly lubricated, and the brake light switch should work. Rear discs can develop a lip at the outer edge over time; if it is pronounced, measure the disc. With the system in good order, an organic pad gives a smooth, progressive rear brake for everyday riding.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's list puts the AGPP88 at the rear of the MT-09 Street Rally for 2014 to 2016, with the AGPA97 up front. One box covers the single rear caliper. Clean the piston before pushing it back, inspect the disc, and top up or replace the fluid. Accossato's DK077 and DKS073 discs are also listed for this model. Pump the pedal until firm after fitting.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or test certificate for this rear pad. The AGPP88OR is offered for use on the track and in competition.

Scope of Delivery

Two Accossato AGPP88 pads in Organic (OR) compound in one box, for the Street Rally's rear caliper.
